The J-10 ground crew in the second photo have interesting uniforms for the PLAAF.

Looks like a Eurofighter! Although a twin jet still has its similarities.

Also has some parts that look like the F-16.

Interesting plane, but the refueling probe ruins the aircraft's lines, like the Mirage 2000's did. You'd think they could design a retractable probe. Probably more than a match for an F-16.

From what I have read on that plane it needs to go on a diet. I can't remember how much it weighs but I remember the article stating that because the Chinese lack the technology in composite materials, it weighs quite a bit. By the looks of it it looks a lot bigger than an F-16 or Euro fighter.

Considering the average Chinese factory worker's indifference toward quality, these planes will probably be a nightmare to maintain. I know from reading several articles on the Chinese Navy, their ships leave a lot to be desired...several countries with contracts have rejected the ships that have been released from their shipyards. No reason to think the aircraft industry is any different. The Chinese are going to have to tighten their quality standards to meet world expectations.

thats what im thinking too. could chinese tech really oust all these years and history of american aerospace tech? im just thinking logically here with no basis.

im mean, if they are still flying these...

how far off can the j-10 tech be. but i have to say the j-10 looks good sans the refueling probe!

For a country that can't get the quality of milk for babies right, I can see something as sophisticated as a jet fighter not having major quality problems.
