Default Some more pics

Hey guys,

I know it's not mil stuff, but wanted to share my latest adventure with you guys.

I had a chance to fly in an Extra 300L and do some formation flying with Sean D. Tucker yesterday. What a blast.

So check it out at

Horizontal Rain

And for my next adventure, I'm off to Chile Friday for 2 weeks to attend FIDAE and fly around on refueling tankers. So keep an eye on the blog, and I'll post more pics when I can.

Well, as far as the Photography is concerned, I like to think of myself as a Freelancer. But I also hold a couple of positions: Sr. Photographer/Editor at the Moffett Field Museum, Associate Editor of "In Flight USA", and Commissioner of the Santa Clara County Airports Commission. I also have started being a regular contributer to "Airliners" magazine. I have the cover shot of this months issue (Mar/Apr) and will have images in the May/June issue also. But as a freelancer, I offer my services to anyone, including members of the military (ie. Demo Teams, Squadrons, individuals), Airshows (images for marketing use, website, etc), Airshow Performers, corporate clients, or anyone that needs a photo taken, etc.

And I am also a software consultant on top of all that.

Hope that helped....

Thanks Sagar! You are an inspiration to many people!

That is funny, I just noticed that you (or I should say your pic) are on the issue of Airliners, like you mentioned.

Hey Spectre, No chance as of yet. There may be a show or two, but nothing confirmed as of now. But I'd love to go and see some variety.

And for those of you that care, I've posted my pics from my Chile trip finally.

Horizontal Rain, Imagry by Sagar N. Pathak

Hope you all enjoy!

Every time I think I'm getting better...I look at your shots and it brings me back down to earth

The Copilot in your day 10 027.jpg picture... did you happen to get his name? He looks like a pilot we had in the 40th AS.

Your pics of the new F-16s are awesome. They are some of the most advanced Falcons in the world. I have to shake my head at how lucky you are every time I see you post some new pics. You have to have one of the coolest jobs in the world.

Hey guys,

Got two new entries for you all. Wed I had chance to fly with the SJPD, SCCSO, and CHP helo's out of Moffett for a flyby to honor the fallen officers of SJPD. And then on Thursday, I went down to King City to do some acrobatic flying at the Tutima Academy of Aviation Safety.

Check it out when you get a chance....and feel free to forward the link to any of your friends...

Horizontal Rain

Cheers!

Hey guys, back in town for a couple of weeks. Got a chance to do something really crazy a couple of weekends back. I did some loops and rolls in the Red Bull Helicopter! For the photo buffs out there, I just posted a blog entry on the mechanics on how I took the actual shot. So check out the blog and see the pics as well as a link to the Vertical Challenge 2008 Helicopter Airshow.

Allright I guess. My unit just officialy converted from the KC-135 to the C-130 on June 22nd. It was a sad day to see the last Tanker go. There is always stress involved with change and the fact that we are now combining with another unit doesn't help. It's only the second time that a Guard and Reserve unit have combined and the first time happened only six months before us. We are kind of learning as we go but there have been a few squabbles already. It will be interesting to say the least. I'll have to post some pics of the Tanker leaving and of the C-130's with their new markings.

Hello from Whiteman AFB, home of the 1:400 scale B-2 Bomber.

I'm out here blogging daily while I undergo my training for a back seat ride in a T-38 as I chase the B-2 Bomber later this week.

Forgot to add, if it's not asking too much, can you PLEASE leave me a comment on there? The Air Force reads this stuff, and while I know you all are checking it out and enjoy it, it would be cool to have them see your comments too. That will go a long way for me to show them that people are actually viewing my posts. And I would be very appreciative for you taking the time to do it. Thanks from a fellow shooter!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah the card made it.

Hello again from Knob Noster, MO. Well, I just posted pics from my T-38 Ride. Man was it incredible. Everything happened so quickly and is still a blur. But once again, thanks for the comments. Those are what is impressing the people out here, and honestly, it is making them feel so proud that people are appreciative of the stuff that they do out here. Everyone from the Base Commander to the brand new Airman is reading what you're saying and is appreciative of the support and acknowledgment. They take pride in their B-2 and is excited that people are hearing and seeing what they do on a day to day basis. So on behalf of them, thank you very much for reading & commenting. I still have one more day out here, so I'll report back tonight.

Cheers!!!
Sagar

Did that Indian Flanker go up against some American hardware? If so what about the F-22? Also, Sagar I know you're American but are you of Indian heritage? If so this had to be even better for you.

At first glance, I thought it was funny that the F-16 was by himself with a group of Eagles...then I took a closer look and noticed it was a Flanker!

Wonderful work Sagar! Really enjoy your blogs and pics!

Leafs? Cup? Get in line after my Sharks!!!

Champ - Since this is the first Flag for the IAF, their main missions were to attack ground defenses. That being said, the Red Force was led by the F-16's from AK in their sick arctic camo. They did pretty good. No F-22 this Flag, but they will mix it up w/ the French and Korean forces. And yes, I am of Indian decent, so it was extra special.

Citation - Man, that is awesome! I still can't beleive that people read my crap. But really, that shot of you and the mag really made my day!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to even take it. Tops man!!! And if you're ever flying through SJC/NUQ, do let me know. We'll grab lunch / dinner. And I'll even come take pics of you taking off and landing.

Justino - Thanks a lot!!!

Georgie - I shoot with a Canon 40D.

Jo - Seriously? Leafs??? Don't even get me started...then again I hate to admit it, but the Sharks really screwed up this year. Love hate relationships.......I took the JT shot here at SFO a few years back when he was flying in for some Quantas thingy.

Thanks again for all the comments guys. Really appreciate it.

You're not alone. Every time I view Sagar's pics I turn green and I run out of things to say. It gets old when the only thing I can think of is holy ***** that is an awesome picture and man that SOB is lucky. Truth be told though, Sagar we are lucky to have the opportunity to see your pics and hear your stories. I'm sure the job is tougher then it looks. (yeah right) You lucky SOB. The only thing I can take solace in is that I have more planes then you, but I would probably trade them all in for a ride in an F-15 so you still win.
