Default Barksdale Open House 2007

Hey, since I'm doing the Photobucket thing, I found some shots I meant to post last year. Pretty good airshow, they had some great dogfights and flight of an F-4, something I last saw in '78. I miss those noisy birds...

May I ask what does BUFF mean? Also, why is the B-52 called BUFF? Thanks!

It stands for Big Ugly Fat F***er, or Fellow, in polite company . Don't ask me where it came from, it's just one of those nicknames that came from nowhere.

Wow gives a whole new meaning to the term buff, which normally means bare skin....The buff was swimming in the buff..

Thanks, Steve! It may be big but I don't think it's ugly or deserves to be called a f***er though.
