You can find the most unusual things in the most unusual places sometimes. Wonder if it is in operatable condition (right after it gets the sand washed off and have one or two things patched up quickly.)

I have seen these photos back in 2003.

But yeah interesting, just buried in the sand. Not the best idea to hide them at, but were there other options ?

After digging the photos from some websites, they were infact covered by plastic. Edited my comment.

2003, eh? Hmm, wonder what this plane is doing now? I guess its parked somewhere at a USAF base, away from rouge states that would be interested in buying them (as was the case of the Macedonian MiG-29Ss in the late 90s.)

The Iraqi Air Force also flew several of their aircraft to Iran and now Iran is happily flying them! I believe there were several fighter jets as well as some refueling tankers.

The canopy looks punctured, go get the vacuum, we need to get down in them cracks, sergeant !
