Let's just say it's a modernized C-130 with a T-tail.

Also has a feel of a AN-70. The ground footprint of the wheel placement looks that way. And it has a A320 cockpit windows.

How can they say that looks like an An-70? It's got a T-tail, and the nose isn't even close.

I dont know, the AN70 isnt even T-tailed. It is comparable to the AN70 though. I think it's because they look at it from the front. From that angle, they do "resemble" the aircraft, they just have to look from the side, and they'll see the beauty and differences of these two aircrafts.

Not many ways of designing a military transport, anyway...

it looks just like a C-17 but its a bit skinnier, different cockpit windows, and no winglets. But the tail looks exactly the same as a -17.

Hey Justino, I am told that the use of winglets for the A400M Transporter is eliminated by the 8 bladed propellers.
Here's one of my posted photos...

I see you haven't found anyone yet, was it only available from the Lupa "store" ..?

I'll get back to you, if I find any A400M on the net.

Nobody has said that it looks like a Kawasaki C-1 yet. Or the 4 engine tech demo of it that TRDI used for STOL trials.

Good that you brough up that C-1.

Comparable aircraft to the AN-70 and the A400M.

The C-X with 2 CF6-80C2's will replace JASDF's aging C-1s.

4 props or 2 Jet engines ? The 2 engine mini C-17 looks like a mean machine.

It just looks like a C-130 on steroids, with a t-tail. Good-looking for a cargo plane, hope they sell well. Lots of potential models from that one...

Is there an equivalent of "ETOPS" for military cargo flights?

Yeh, I was specifically referring to the modified one with, I think an advanced wing and 4 engines that the TRDI used as an experimental aircraft. Im sure I had a picture in a magazine years ago. but the c-1 is a cool wee aircraft. But how cool is the P-7? A cool P-3 replacement (but off topic so lets stop that discussion).
Someone posted a diorama with Kawasaki C-1s in the background a while back somewhere.

As for Military ETOPS?? I know a friend once flew an Andover C.1 from Gander to Brize Norton.

I am not slamming Airbus over this at all...but the EU should have just bought the An-70 10 years ago and been done with it. It is a great plane. and the A400M still has many years ahead to become operationally ready.

How, when Airbus doesn't have one ?

And what I meant with my comment was that Europe is too ignorant to realize that AN-70 is a better product. Not much in differential between these two other than that the A400M obviously costs more than the AN70, yet it can only carry less than the AN70. But who cares, The EU is paying for its development with the tax payers money. Airbus just want a piece of the cake, starting with the taxpayers money from European countries.

and they could have had it ten years ago...

My point was that Airbus is untested in this area and it is a huge s
