Hearing, and feeling the plane in real life has no second and the picture itself can not compare. Seeing it on A.net (and jumping up the ranks fast) is a rush though.

Thanks

I had one rejected yesterday and I have nothing uploaded right now.

I think all I had go in there you all have seen first You all helped me fix this on that was just accepted. I used to be so afraid that I was going to over sharpen and I would only go up to about 70 or so..

Cool shots, S! Can never mistaken the background of Nellis! Love the "blue" Raptor taking off! So, do you know if the "red" or "blue" won that day?

With an 80-1 kill ratio, I think whatever side has the Raptor wins.

Champ, 80-1?!?!?! where did you get a number like that. She aint stealth, and the Su-30, J-11, and Eurofighter are all pretty stout. Also, dont forget the J-XX and the Su-35's growing family.

Isn't the "kill" ratio based on real combat figures?

In RED FLAG the F-22's have been slaughtering everything in the air. The F-22 is stealth and the according to Air Combat Magazine and the AF Times the only kill scored on it was a suicide shot by an aggressor F-16 from Nellis who had been killed and then quickly regenerated and got back into the fight before the Raptor realized it was there. They both then proceeded to shoot each other down at the same time. True it doesn't have any actual kills yet, but it has been up against everything in the US inventory and killed them all easily. Aggressor pilots were complaining about how hard it is to shoot it down because even if a pilot can get on its tail, their weapons are rarely able to track it.

I can sense the BS flag being thrown so i did a little research for you guys.
Feature - Raptors wield 'unfair' advantage at Red Flag
F-22 excels at establishing air dominance

Having personally been at the Red Flag where the Raptor first participated (Feb 07), I can attest to their impressive kill ratio. I've heard official numbers as high as 8 V 1 (8 Red aircraft vs 1 Raptor) and the Raptor winning in a convincible manner. They also were there last period and are there currently there for period 2 and are kicking ***.

Champ speaks the truth!!!!

OK, the F-22 has a 80-1 kill ratio but for comparison, what's the kill ratio on the F-117, F-15, F-16 and F-18? Thanks!

The F-117 doesn't carry any air to air weapons. The rest would be difficult to to compare to the F-22 because they have been involved in so many exercices and are often pitted against each other. The F-22 is easy because it is so new. However, in air to air combat the F-15 and F-16 are undefeated in real world air to air in every air force they have served in. The F-18 suffered a loss to a Mig-25 in Desert Storm and I'm pretty sure F-16's from Turkey and Greece have shot each other down. I'm almost positive I read that before but I'm not 100% sure about the Turkey/Greece thing.

Champ
Well the Red Flag argument is a very valid point. I would still add however that they have not flown against their same generation esk fighter (aka su-35, J-11). As far as their stealth, on an unclass level they are about the same as the B-2, but yet much smaller, so to me they are very low RCS, although they are better then the F-117 (aka A-117). Besides that they must open their doors in an engagement. I will say the F-22 is a very impressive aircraft, and I am very thankfull the Chinese don't have them. But I am very weary when people act like its the next unsinkable Titanic. Besides there are other needs in the AF that the F-22 cant provide.

What great shots!! I love the SU-27 and it looks good in those colors. The Israeli type camo on the F-16 suits it well....good looking old bird.
