Haha we have the exact opposite problem. I want to know how you post the attached thumbnails, and you want to know how to post bigger pictures.

With my pictures, they're so big becuase my camera is set (I think) to that size, and then I upload them to photobucket, and copy and paste the image code into here and it posts the original size photo. Not exactly an answer to your question, but hopefully it helped.

Nice pic I love aggressor aircraft.

Ohhhhh!!!! I love that F-16 shot where you are looking down on it. Very slick! Can't wait to see the rest of the pics. And I'm willing to bet that the C-17 was TBIRD 16!

I use photobucket. Upload your pictures there, and then just copy the html into the reply box. That way they are embedded and you don't have to worry about clicking to make them bigger....

I drove the stair truck, that we use when we have passengers on the KC-135, up in front of it. I have some pics of the Blue Angels like that too. I'll try to find it for you.

Here's my contribution, These would be great in 1/400, 'cept for the pig, it's probably too small.

Attachment 39569
Some of you will have this in 1/400, although the tail number is different.

Attachment 39570
Gotta love those Kiwis.

Attachment 39571
Love the Pig, hated working on them.

Attachment 39572
This would be a great addition to the 1/400 fold.

Attachment 39573
Ditto.

Did it really pull that steep AoA? Or was it just your position when that photo was taken?

I agree on the aircraft/model but I'd prefer it in 1:200 though.

The Wedgetail would be an awesome addition to the 1:400 military community. I would love to see one of those bad boys in person. Thanks for sharing. I'd like to see this one too. Check out the huge wing tanks.

The AoA is as it happened, no camera tilt involved.

In Australia, the F-111 has always been affectionately known as the pig. We don't have Aardvarks in Australia. Err, I guess we don't have Tigers as well, except for this one.

Just outside my work in Canberra, Australia. You can see the reflection of the buildings in the cockpit glass. The display was to impress the top brass at Defence Headquarters.

I can see why they didn't put the wing tanks between the engines

Heres the Fly-By from the Pepsi 400 in Daytona last month. Four F-15s from Tyndall AFB.

Justino, were they as close to the blimp as they look and it looks like you had the same problem as me with photographing the F-15 because it is so dark. Without the sun in the right place its hard to capture all of its details. Groover those pics are pretty nice. I like the pic of the CH-47, UH-60 and UH-1 taking off in the low light. The F-18 is pretty sweet too. Keep em coming, I'm betting you have a lot more pics having been in the RAAF. I was reading that your country wants to replace its F-111 fleet with the Super Hornet. I saw one this weekend and it was quite a performer. If you get the chance to see one you will be impressed. Maybe not as impressed as when an F-111 dumps fuel but it is an awesome plane to watch. Ever been to Red Flag? The Aussies seem to participate in that quite frequently.

I know they were close, maybe even a little closer than what they wanted to be . It was probably about a mile seperation...give or take a little.

Thanks mate, I have many photos, but I have only had a digital camera for the last 4 years. I should organise some scanning of my many photos, though I guess the quality will be somewhat downgraded. As for the Super Hornet replacing the F-111, I guess nothing can really replace the F-111, it's a pretty unique aircraft, but then again our capability requirements have evolved over the years and the F-111 is a pretty maintenance intensive aircraft and the decision to replace the F-111 involves a range of separate capabilities. In the end, we are currently acquiring 24 F-18F models as an interim stop gap as we await purchasing of the F-35 and plan the imminent retirement of the F-111. Here's a couple of photos of a Super Hornet, taken earlier this year at the Australian International Airshow. You are absolutely correct, they are an impressive aircraft.

As for Red Flag, I've never been, but I've heard that it's a blast. I have visited the US and my only concern was being mistaken as being British by some lady at a McDonald's restaurant in DC. I told her, that I thought she was Canadian.

All in all this is a very exciting time for the ADF, our current aircraft acquisitions include (but are not limited to);
22 ARH Tiger Helicopters
46 MRH 90 Helicopters
24 F/A-18F Block 2 Super Hornets
4 C-17 Globemasters
5 KC-30B Air to Air Refuellers
6 AEW&C B737 Wedgetails
3 AgustaWestland A-109E Helicopters (Navy)
x F-35 Joint Strike Fighters
x Boeing P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft
x Caribou replacement (firming as C-27J according to press reports...no inside knowledge)
x UAVs
Not to mention Air Warfare Destroyers, 2x 27000 tonne LHDs, M1 Abrams tanks, etc. This is a generational change for the ADF.

Kinda ironic about all this talk of Australia and the Rhino. As we speak there are 8 journalists at NAS Lemoore learning everything they can about the Super Hornet. They are planning on doing a huge story on it.

I was pretty pissed when the Navy decided to retire the F-14 and replace it with the Super Hornet. That plane was freaking awesome. I've seen it perform in at least 4 airshows and I always enjoyed it over every other performer including demo teams such as the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds. I understand why they got rid of it and that's the same reason the RAAF is getting rid of the F-111's. Cost of maintenance. This weekend was the first time I saw a Super Hornet perform and I walked away impressed. It performed right after an F-15E and I thought the F-18F was a much better performer.
Your list of transistion is extensive and it's nice to see that Australia is investing in its men and women in uniform. There are a lot of countries who aren't. As I have said before it would be cool to see a Wedgetail and the new KC-30 in 1:400. Thanks for sharing the pics. The vapor you captured on that F-18 is awesome.

Ok, I'm a bit bored, so here's a myriad of pics that I've taken along the way. If anyone has any specific requests, I'd be happy to entertain them. If not, then I'll just post some random stuff.

Cheers!
