Curtiss XP-55 Ascender. From the same RFP that led to the XP-54 Swoose Goose and the XP-56 Black Bullet.

How about this one? I re-touched (very badly) the national symbol on it's side - it would be too easy to identify otherwise.

Close on this one, but no cigar. This is the J.22, designed, developed and produced by Sweden to maintain it's neutrality during the 2nd World War. The J.32 looked like a Lockheed P-80 with swept-back wings.

Dammit, a digit off. J.22 is what I was thinking and daggnabbit I typed J.32 which is the much later Saab Lansen.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop drinking.

Think nothing of it, JP. We all know that after Lt. Zip died, Macho Grande was having a much larger effect then first thought.
