Default HK-1 Spruce Goose could it FLY???

could the HK-1 (H-4 Hercules) Spruce Goose FLY or do you believe it would have only been able to stay in Ground Effect?????

With wings like that, i woul dsay it could deffintely fly. Although a ground affect machine woul dbe awesome fro over ocean fast cargo transport. Like between LA and Honolulu

Arrow During Howard's flight that was ground effect!

The engines were underpowered I have read and heard when touring her at Long Beach when she was there.
