Unhappy A Sad Picture!

Here is the saddest pic I have seen all week!
After the USS Enterprise came back to Norfolk, Fighter Squadron VF-41 "Black Aces" were transferred to California and became VFA-41 on the F/A-18F Super Horror!

The Tomcats I beleive were sent to storage. They were A models.
The other Squadron was VF-14 "Tophatters" No word on them yet or a pic but I am assuming they will become an F/A-18E Super Horror Squadron.

I remember the day that VF-41 took out the Libian air force with a couple of their model "A"s.
Still it could be worse, the F/A18F is a good airplane, fun to fly and instead of boring CAPs all the time, they'll get to throw things at the bad guys now and then.

DOH!

The Hornet is the best all-around aircraft the Navy has. The F-14 is too limited.
