Default YYZ Spotting - Mar 06, 2010

After months of not being able to go spotting, with a high of 8 degrees today it was time to just get out there. With a nice sunny day and arrivals on 24R it was not to be missed!! Unfortunately I got there after most of the Internationals had arrived, KLM, Etihad, Turkish etc.

Just got off the bus and had enough time to click this gorgeous beauty!

Interesting registration on this one C-FEAK.....the R is missing

Lease CANJET aircraft. This one looks like a New York Taxi cab Registration is D-AHFO

The LH A340-600 is only on Sundays

I think this is the first time I've seen this on an A319

The other CANJET scheme. This registration is OO-VAS

And then all AIR CANADAs flew in

With a Star Alliance colour scheme

And the other Canadian jets in the air

Great shots, Freak!

I love the AC T7. It never ceases to amaze me the size of those engines. I can hear the theme to Taxi looking at the CANJET. Great variety as always!

I love that you got out in the 8 degree weather! It's getting close to 50 here in Chicago so I'm dying to get back at it too. Well done, sir!

Just great to see some fresh, new YYZ shots. The warm weather today was great but alas...it's back down to 0 now! Hopefully with March Break coming up we can expect to see the warm weather return for some spring spotting!

Thumbs up Re: YYZ Spotting - Mar 06, 2010

Very nice shots freak! 24R Arrivals also hold some very nice shots. My 2nd favourite Spotting Location at YYZ. I really hope we have nice Weather for the upcoming March Break as well as the rest of the month and well into April. Today and most of this week has been nothing but Gorgeous weather, clear skies, high temperature etc... I hope it stays that way!

Nearly two years since I was in YYZ, must get back over sometime... As for that Canjet 'taxi' I'm assuming it's on lease from Hapag-Lloyd Express, the German low fares division of Hapag-Lloyd? Gemini made an HLX 737 model in this livery several years ago...

Thank you all for the comments! It was great to be out there, though by the end of the two hours my fingers were frozen literally.

Koz, your kind words mean a lot. Parminder and Westjetter, something tells me your March break will be amazing in terms of spotting!! Horizon and Big Al you need to come to YYZ sometimes!! Blablubb did you mean the dark spot on my photos, I need to do something about it.? 24R thanks for the additions to the thread. Glad you could add those and give everyone a sense of the whole spotting day. Those shots are nice and clear.

Nice shots 24r! I always miss the Etihad 77W . I forgot to add something. The AF A330; is it replacing the normal A343?

Hey Freak

Nice shots!

Its kind of ironic, I just happened to be in the Travelodge taking pictures out the window of some of the same aircraft that day!

You didn't get the Air Transat A330 just before the A-310?

Cheers

Gary

Yep! A sensor cleaning should do it's work

Btw. I would love to see some shots of a LH A346 in that perspective

Take your camera into an approved service agent for a sensor clean at least annually. The more you delay it, the more expensive it becomes and sometimes they'll only be able to clean up around 80% of the grime.

Twinjet, glad you liked the pics! I didn't get the Air Transat yesterday but got it today . Blablubb99 Looks like the A340-600 is in the summer schedule to kick in month end . Guys I really need to look into this censor cleaning, but at the same time it's time to upgrade my baby Olympus, but has she given me great pics!!

Here are some from today. Major arrivals were on Rwy 23!! And I was at 24R, and then 24R moved to 24L...

At 24R

At 24L trying to figure out the best spot, trees in the way!!

Leaving 24L to get to the bus stop, so this Carribean beauty was some distance away

Wow, digging that one from Jamaica, mon. Those are some really great pictures, once again, with some editing, they may be A.net worthy.

Greats shots again from today. Will you be upgrading to an SLR now? Your baby Olympus seems to have been through quite a lot and still produces great shots!
