Re: LAX Spotting - 11/09/08 (Heavies)
Thanks for the comments. Yes I was at In & Out and im going back to do some more spotting on July 14th. Yes it does suck that i am not able to catch an Aer Lingus A330 there yet. Unless i get lucky. I would so love to see one, when im there.

You'd have to be really lucky because Aer Lingus doesn't fly to LAX anymore.
I like the Virgin A346! I usually spot up on the hill so I never get to see this bird land.

Re: LAX Spotting - 11/09/08 (Heavies)
No guys, I'm not lying to you all, and the Arann 777-200 is not a fake. Hell, I didn't believe it at first, niether, when i saw it. I herd it come over the scanner, and the pilot said they were a test flight from Seattle/Boeing Field. I dont know if it's flying around yet after that, but I swear it's not a fake. It was actually sweet lookin. And hope to see it come more frequent in LA, or if not, hope to see it in the skies in other countries.

Re: LAX Spotting - 11/09/08 (Heavies)
Looks like a used UA 777, but who had been itching to give up their 777's? Probably Singapore or Cathay. Looks like Trent 700s to me, can't tell if they are Pratts or not.

Yep Horizon, Their Trents. And i'm not sure who gave their Triple 7 for this Airline to get one. But it was a rare catch, and totaly shown her beauty unexpectedly. That plane hopefully has a good future I hope. I really do think we would see it in the air again here soon.

That Arann is quite a catch. I've never seen nor heard of them being at LAX before. Very cool.

Their website says nothing of the 777 in their fleet. (Unless it is a sign of things to come??)
Aerarann.com - About Aer Arann - News, Awards, Contact Information, Logo
And neither is Los Angeles on their route map
Nor is it on their codeshare

From what time to what time were you at LAX? I do not live in LA so I do not know the weather but it seems to me that it went from nice blue skies to a cloudy day with that Aer Arann. The picture looks real though... I have no doubt that it is real, but it was just something I noticed.

EI-GWY comes up as a Cessna 172...also the Asiana "777-330" (actually a 772) HL7733 shows up as a Korean Air 772.

No, it's an Arann 772. And it was a flight from Boeing Field. It was a test flight or something. And the Asiana 777 is a 772. Im sorry for mistaken it.

it's the biggest bull ever. They never have nor will have a 777. They are a tiny regional airline. And that is just FAKE!

Re: LAX Spotting - 11/09/08 (Heavies)
It's clearly a fake. If you people would just look at the lines on the tail, you'd be able to see!
Also, did any of you look at how the plane is nicely in frame and zoomed differently than the others???
Wasting your time here with this.

I've photographed planes at LAX from this location at the "In N Out". That Air Arann 777 is a completely different sky and time of day from all the other LAX photos.
