Thanks for the pics! I used to fly in those F-50s (within Sabah) when they were in the Malaysia Airlines colors... and I remember the times when as a little boy, I used to fly in the F-27s in MSA (Malaysia Singapore Airlines) colors.

At last,i've found the photos of MASwings DHC-6 Twin Otter. The aircraft (9M-MDN) is now a history,as it was crashed on landing at a rural airstrip in Northern Sarawak last year. There were rumors that these ageing will be replaced with new Twin Otter series 400,but it was just only rumor.

After a long time,it's the time to revive this topic again.

Taken on April 20th:

(MASwings 2nd ATR 72-500,named 'Kinabalu',after Mount Kinabalu-the 6th highest mountain in SE Asia. She was delivered on March 2009)

(ATR 72-500 main front cargo door. From here, you can see the name of the aircraft)

(Pilots standing by to switching off the engines)

(Engines switched off.Really love the Hamilton prop blades on ATR 72 aircrafts)

(Ground Crews preparing her for the next flight:SBW-BTU-BKI)

Current MASwings ATR:3 (The 3rd a/c,9M-MWC arrived safely at SZB from Toulouse, and headed to East Malaysia on April 18th)

So far,we haven't knew the name of the other 2 aircraft. However, these are the rumoured name of the aircraft (taken from Malaysianwings.net):

MWA - Santubong* (already in service, delivered in 2008)
MWC - Serapi* (newest aircraft,Arrived from TLS on April 2009,later arrived at BKI on Apr 18th,2009)
MWD - Danum* (delivery-June 2009)
MWE - Murut* (delivery-August 2009)
MWF - Lurmaku* (delivery-September 2009)
MWG - Gading* (delivery-December 2009)
(*names unconfirmed)

Thanks for viewing!
