my Iberia adventure (march)
ok, this is my second and lastest trip report i've ever made!, this time, I was flying with Iberia, I was expecting a nice airline, good service, new
planes... and I must say that I was WRONG! their service is horrible compared with LH, TP, AF..., they lost my luggage, the planes were dirty the FAs were angry and old... Part 1: CCS-MAD Part 2: MAD-CDG Part 3: LHR-BCN Part 4: OVD-MAD Part 5: MAD-CCS let's start with Part 1: CCS's international concourse-MAD's terminal 4 (satellite) flight IB6700 A340-313 EC GJT named "Rosa Chacel" date: 03/07/08 some pics I took from the terminal:    very "updated"  here come's my plane!!    dirty!, I guess "Rosa" needs a wash!   my little cousin alex looking threw the window, she was scared to be 8h on a plane!  boarding: (note the non-standard white square)

LH:  old style =S  AF, TP, AV and AE  8 hours later... "Welcome to Madrid"  bussines plus class:  Concha espina parked next to us, I flew on this aircraft back in 2003  I was finally at the T4!!!!!! yay!!!!!   next: Part 2!

I love the GSE operations pictures #3 AA and #8 Iberia (Rosa). The variation in light between both pictures is beautiful. Well done and I'll be sure to tune in to the rest of your trip report. My brother, who visited Madrid last year, thought their airport was colorful and spacious. It looks very much like he described as per your pics.

well, now it's part 2's turn! MAD Terminal 4 main building- CDG's terminal 2 flight IB3436 A320-200 EC-JSB named "Benalmadena" 03/08/08 my plane at the gate  ATC:  A321 at gate:   morning rush hour at MAD!!!  I was jet lagged so I slept during all the flight! although there were like 60 gipsys singing "Volare"!!!! it was so hilarious!!!! after 1 hour, we arrived at Paris CDG!      CDG's ATC looks like a pen!! xD! jaja   hope you like it! next part: LHR-BCN!

Nice report. In fact according to what I have heard on aviation foruns -there is a topic running in a brazilian forum where someone is complaining about IB bad service- their service is poor. My travel agency told me she doesn´t offer IB tickets to her clients unless they request it. She always warn them about their inflight service.
In one flight report in the forum the pax was traveling with an one year old kid and his wife and the FAs were very rude with them and also their bags got lost in Madrid. Next time I recommend you to travel with another airline.

Bad memories with IB back in 2002. Extremly moody cabin crew. Glad you made it over the pond.... Looking forward to see the next picture.s |

 next part: (I don´t have many pics of this part!) LHR´s T2-BCN´s terminal B IB7461 A321 EC-IIG, named "Ciudad de Siguenza" 03/14/08 from the airport shuttle: JAL 77W  A340, CX  at T2: I love that livery!!  another lufty:  Tapy!!!!   another IB, this time to MAD...  once in BCN... a rear view! (I wonder why they didn´t used the passway!)  tail:  I was walking throw the terminal, when I saw a model airport of BCN´s new terminal!!, in 1:500! sorry for the quality!  NOTE: AS DIFERENT FROM THE OTHER FLIGHTS I HAD WITH IB, THIS TIME ALL THE FAs WERE YOUNG AND SMILING!!!!!! CONGRATS IBERIA!! and they gave me some kind of lolypop they call ¨Piruletas¨ coming soon: OVD-MAD (the shortest part)

OVD-MAD´s T4 main building IB0402 (I think!) MD-88 EC-FIG named "Penon de Ifach" 03/22/08 I could´t take pics of OVD becouse we departed very early in the morning, and I didn´t sleep the night before, so I decided to sleep instead of taking pictures.. anyways, I woke up just before arriving at MAD... at MAD: anyone remember this aircraft??   a cool one:  how in the world we can see a such an amaizing aircraft in this conditions!!!!    no doubt of who´s the king at barajas...  world´s best terminal!!  the typical trip report picture...  and next and last part..: MAD-CCS on the 346!!

Cool report, reminds me of my Iberia flights in and out of Madrid! The MD-88 will be history in Europe soon, I was happy to fly with EC-FOF and with A320s in 2007...
I attached some pictures i took with my mobile-phone during my trip... 1st. pic EC-FOF before boarding in Mallorca 2nd pic EC-FOF arriving in Madrid 3rd pic A320 boarding 4th Iberia 757-200 in better times....

Carlos, great stuff, Madrid's terminal is beautiful. I also did not care for IB's inflight trans Atlantic service, but their intra European service, I thought was quite nice.
By the way, did anybody else notice the Iberia retro Airbus in a couple of your shots? Hey, I just saw you will be in Miami in December. Are you just connecting or are you visiting? If you will be here on a weekend, maybe we can go spotting at MIA.

I'm not enough of an enthusiast to know enough about it to notice things like that, but I did see Lufthansa D-AIRX in that rather lovely looking retro livery (see post number 8).
If they ever brought that back (unlikely I know), I most certainly wouldn't complain! Same with the BA Negus (Red tail) livery. We certainly need some retroness back out there, that's for sure!!

Yea, like Carlos said, the other one is in the background of the Luxair ERJ, zlso back there you can see, Avianca and LAN! Well it would be cool to take u to the photo area at MIA if you can get your dad to hang out for a day, weekend day that is.
Also, yea I did see the Spanair Star Alliance, what a shame, those poor people, have you seen the video from the MAD security cam, showing the crash?

Ah yes, you're right, there it is a second time, which i didn't see by browsing the pictures...
Very promising, looks far better than your A340-300! That inflight-cams are so cool, (when they are available...) At Larnaca they simply turned them of after doing a 'touch and go' for the second approach, it was a Condor 757-300...Saw the Spanair vid in the news and how the tail rushed down that hill, horrible! May they all rest in peace and again condolences to their families!
