Default IAD-CDG Trip Report

Hey guys, just got back from Paris and thought I would do an Anet style Trip Report.

The first pic is of check in. Since my dad was flying business, I was able to check in at the business class kiosk and skip the economy one, which was ridiculously long.
Virgin Atlantic A346 to London
I thought this was an awesome pic

OE-LPC
SAA 346 to Dakar

My Ride, taken from the AF lounge, which sucked.
Economy cabin. I was seated in 39F and my grandfather was in 39E, so to take a pic out the window, I had to go to the door. Also, the middle row's IFE wasn't working so mostly everyone went to the back of the plane and drank and talked. It was pretty fun!

Me and the FA's. I got to know them pretty well.

Sorry I didn't get any pics of landing, I was in the middle, 39F =(. But I did get some of the landing, which I will post soon. Anyway, we pulled into an A380 gate at Terminal 2E, Satellite 3. It was quite a long taxi in. Anyway, here is an AF 77W and China Southern 772 behind it.

F-GSQB

My Plane. F-GSPT
Leaving CDG was the concorde and French Air Force A330, which I barley got.

Also, Sorry for the quality of the pictures. It was rainy and dark. and my lens was dirty. coming home will be much better since I got a window seat.

Cool pictures there J! I like the looks of that check-in area...has that classic airline look to it. BTW, HOW well did you get to know those FAs?

Haha, not THAT well.

Ok Round 2 Coming home.

AF 026 CDG-IAD
Boeing 777-300ER
F-GSQD

Check in at CDG 2E. Again, we skipped the ques at the Economy check-in. CDG 2E is awesome. Very clean and modern.

F-GSPJ to Dakar

I started doing some spotting around the Terminal. Here is a JAL going to terminal 2F

F-GRHZ

F-GUGE

F-GTAT

F-GFKL
An A380 Gate

At 4:00 we boarded. Boarding was fast, faster then boarding at IAD. We
also boarded in an A380 gate, which was also cool. S3 has all A380 gates. That woman and my grandfather also got randomly screened which takes about 7 minutes.

I didn't get a window seat during takeoff, because a kid was sitting there. But eventually, he moved to the back of his planes with the rest of his class, so I had a whole row to myself. Here are some pics from over the Atlantic.

The wing, taken from the door.

More to come.

hey bro some nice pictures. so what kind of camera do you have? i'm thinking of buying a camera soon but kind of wanting to know what kind. i'm thinking of a canon or a nikon. I could be going to hartford at the end of july and my grandparents only live 5 min. away from the airport, so i hope i can get some pretty cool pictures if i can get a camera. When i was there last year there was nothing special there happening, just pretty much the same at kslc but hopefully will get to see northwest 757, their international flight to amsterdam.

Great photos. Please post more photos of the interior of CDG 2E. My wife flew through CDG 2E this last weekend, traveling to SVO and was very impressed with the terminal.

Thanks Tup, Yeah, I took a couple shots of S3. I especially liked the PS3s you could play. There were about ten set up through the west side. Here are some pics I found on the internet, I can't post mine right now. Link:

Thanks for photos of CDG. My wife told me about the PS3's and a station with a number of laptop computers to access the internet. Hopefully I will have an opportunity to visit CDG someday.

Yeah, the new S3 really is amazing. Its so huge, everyone on our tram to the terminal was able to get their own security station. No lines! Plus, the entire terminal smells like perfume.
