Default Boeing Factory Tour Photos

Here are some classic photos from a August 1974 Boeing factory tour in Everett WA. I was on a college road trip with a college friend. We drove from Long Beach, CA to the 74 World's Fair in Spokane WA, Seattle, Vancouver and Victoria BC in my 1972 SAAB 99.

747-200 in photo below is for Air France

Wow Tupolev, I'm sure those pics generated at that time the same amount of excitement as the pics from the Boeing Field does of the 777-300ERs and 777-200LRs.!

Yeah, but DAC and A-net was not around for posting the pics. Come to thing about it in 74 there was no PC's or internet. In another 6 years, in 80 I got my first computer an Apple II+.

There weren't any decent miniature airliner models then, either.

I found these photos in a box of photos I was cleaning up. I forgot I had them. They were taken with a Fujica ST-801 35MM SLR. The good news is now with computers, I can scan the old photos, negatives or slides, then crop and clean them up.

It's interesting to note that many of the older liveries had more polished bare metal.

Great photos Tupie! I did a Boeing tour in 1992 and 1994. The second time I went, the first 5 B777's were on the flight line in United and British Airways colours. I managed to get a few photos from the tour bus. I seem to remember the tour being free back then?
