Default An Airline Travel Myth

Flight passengers may carry a number of misperceptions about airlines. For instance, when you purchase a ticket, you expect to travel to the city you've selected. This is no longer the case.

To an airline, these destinations are suggestions or suggestinations; a flight planned to get you where you're going, not a flight promise. A promise is something you can deliver on. For instance, NASA plans, not promises to fly to Mars one day. But, for now, we'll just have to settle for the moon. And the moon was good enough for American hero, Niel Armstrong. In fact, few astronauts ever complained they can't get to Mars. So, the next time you're stranded in an airport, think of it as the moon.

LOl wow, ill keep that in mind next time. Don't they have an obligation to get you to the destination as promised? That seems very logical. hopefully somebody has written that up in a law.

Sorry I am lost in this thread. I am dim maybe, but really did not get. For sure, I can say, with so many code shares, you as a passenger are no longer sure that if you buy a LH ticket you will fly with LH metal. For all you may see Air India or South African Airways bird while boarding

What it means is that if you book a flight to Reno or Phoenix, the airline might "plant" you in Las Vegas instead, where you will be approached by hookers trying to make their monthly mortgage on their suddenly devalued real estate market.

It's a joke good fellas. I happened to stumble upon The Unger Report and listened to their take on airline myths. The term, "suggestinations" cracked me up. And as you all know, there is some truth behind a joke.

It's all part of the plan.
