AP Story:
"PURCHASE, N.Y. - Eos Airlines has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will cease operations by Monday, it said Sunday. The business class-only airline is planning to operate its final flights between London's Stansted Airport and New York's Kennedy Airport on Sunday. The Purchase-based company intends to eliminate most of its work force. Chief Executive Officer Jack Williams said in a statement that the "challenging economic and credit environment" forced the company to file a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The airline launched round-trip service for business travelers from New York to London in 2005. It was named after the Greek goddess of the dawn." |

Yikes, Never thought they would go down that quick..
Eos stated after the MaxJet's liquidation that it wouldn't "follow" MXJ's to go belly up. Sad to see it go. ![]() |

Yes, I was surprised to see Eos go so quickly, too. Seems like we will not have many airlines from which to choose here in the U.S., with airlines shutting down and merging.
