Too bad there are no half barrels or regular style urinals on these planes. I was wondering what it would look like and I thought of the porcelain ones that we use. At least it is not a big half barrel like at some places and outdoor facilities. Nice design! I would not mind using it. I wonder of it will be on any other larger aircraft or business class style airlines like Silverjet. They have women only lavatories on their planes.

It'll never fly!

And if it does, guys are still gonna misfire during turbulence and due to poor aim, and urine will still drip and mar the floor regardless.

This is a very good idea! I'm sure that in future, we'll have divided toilets

Possibly they need "sucktion"facility to be installed in mens toilet to prevent misfire or distribution of urine during turbulence / cross wind landing

Something like jet tanker extension will do the job

What will that do for space on the aircraft? Having seperate lavs will not be good in the long run. I have seen lines on aircraft of people waiting to go.

I just think it's a bad design because guys will have to lean up close to it to "sprinkle", and I don't like the idea of accidentally coming into contact with the exterior surfaces there.

Typical urinals are wide open and easy to aim into, whereas this one requires the individual to step in relatively close.

Maybe the pic doesn't do it justice, but it just seems potentially unsanitary.
