We took-off and flew in formation at 800 feet agl with 8 Yakelovs surrounding us on all sides!

Wow, the DC-3 by its self is a beautiful bird. Add to that those Yak's, and that is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, in picture. Only thing cooler would be the DC-3 in formation with a couple of Antonov AN-2s, those are beautiful aircraft.

Yeah it was alot of fun, we flew at 800feet for about a half hour in formation!
I had the option to fly on one of the Yakelovs after this flight but when the pilot started debriefing about wearing a parachute and how to bail out, I chickened out...

wow Crownvic... I never knew you can do left seat on a DC3....

That's great, actually I am soooo jealous!! the DC3 is the first aircraft I flew on, as a kid (hence my username)...You are a lucky man!

yes I got two of each in all scales...I was invited to meet him and fly with them because of my families business/partnership with the Airplane Shops as they are the major US distributor of Herpa..
