Default IAD spotting 4/5/08

Hey Guys, tomorrows my birthday, so I went to Dulles and did some spotting. I go there just in time for the euro rush. I was very pleased with my new camera!

Thanks guys! Yes, it was hot today! Some pics had heat blur so I didn't post them. I have a whole bunch more from a different location, they were about 30ft over me, and all heavys I.E. VS A346, three UA 777's, OS 767, and a UA 747 from HK/chicago. I'll try to get them on tonight.

Awesome various selections.

Just a question, what's that vertical stuff on top of the "mobile lounge"
It looks like it's part of the vehicle, but what it is, I dont know.

Aren't those the columns that allow certain mobile lounges to rise up and down to "mate" with different types of aircraft?

I remember riding those when I went from the main terminal to the airside Delta used at IAD back in '98 when I flew here to MCO.

I thought the lift system on those mobile lounges was more like.. this.... The X system ?

Too bad you could not photograph the Qatar B773ER...I believe it arrives late evening, so that might be the reason you missed it. Great pics though, love the ANA B773ER which I have yet to see for the first time.

hey guys, I was just looking in the top photos section of A-net, and saw that D-AIKM had just rolled out of the factory! This was probably its first revenue flight!! I also didn't see any names on like duisburg!

I've seen it before above my house, but I've never got to take a pic of it! I was there from about 12 to 4, and I had a party to go to, so I couldn't stay.
And yes, I have the model!
