They just shut down. It's on A-net. Damn. Gemini: you are no longer allowed to produce current airlines...you are bad luck!

This is so sad. First AQ, then MG, and finally TZ. I am so glad that I got a chance to fly N697CA (727) last year with Champion and go on N194AT (L1011) with ATA.

We got the bad end of this since passengers are mad about this and employees too. MDW was supposed to have them fly for another month or two but now it is a very bad time right now. Maintenance issues, and airlines going out of business. This is sad.

This is one sad week in the U.S. airline industry as Aloha, Champion and now ATA have all folded. Meanwhile, Southwest, Delta, United and American are under fire for allegedly allowing aircraft maintenance to lapse.

stupid high fuel prices. this is killing the airline industry now who is going to be next. By the end of the year were not going to have many options as passengers. either skybus or someone else will go next.

I say go back to the days when the riff-raff could not afford to fly and raise ticket prices. Greyhound is more than willing to transport anybody with $40.

As a parting gesture, they should have diverted them over the pond to Terminal 5 at Heathrow

Skybus won't allow passangers to bring food aboard the aircraft unless, "You have enough for everyone" as they put it But its absolutely absurd that ATA shut down, at least Southwest operates code-share with ATA...

Question Re: ATA shuts down, Ceases all operations....

ATA discontinued all operations because they lost the contract for military charters, wich is the airline who signed the new deal?
