Default Superjumbo Vs Whalejet

Looks like some people do not like having the nickname 'Whalejet" on the Wikipedia page about the A380 (as well as on other forums). I added an entry there yesterday, and it was almost promptly removed. I did some "research" on other forums and saw an old thread on A-net about how that nickname seems to too much for some people to handle!

Sorry,
I still feel the name should be "Deux-Ponts" in memory of its predecessor.

Airbus Deux Ponts II.

I won't compare these 2 birds as they haven't been released together but more than 30 years seperate them.
For me they are just 2 milestones aircrafts.

I think they are discussing the A380 here?
