DAB Pictures ~ Speedweeks

Heres some pics from today when I went to the Camping World 300 at Daytona International Speedway...it was practically an airshow today and I had the best of both worlds! Racing and Aviation! Little mix of airliners, general aviation, and military! Be sure to check my other thread in the Off-Topic forum, or whatever its called, for pics from the race...

Looking towards Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University...my new home for the next 4 years!

Rest are taken from the speedway...

Great pics, Justino! BTW, is there always an airshow during the weekend of Dayotona 500? And does the Thunderbirds always perform there every year?

Well it is an airshow...just not your average, typical one. Its more of an airshow as in tons of planes flying banners around the track, all the blimps and helicopters covering the races, flybys for opening ceremonies, teams and drivers flying in and out, airline service, and all the Embry-Riddle students doing their flying.

The F-15s were doing the flyby for the Camping World 300 opening ceremonies, and the Thunderbirds will be doing the same for the Daytona 500 today because its the 50th running of the 500.

Definately went there in September to tour campus. I got accepted to Embry Riddle for fall 2008 and just need to decide whther to go or not.

Pictures look very familiar from my stay.
