Default Aserca DC-9 accident

february/12, an Aserca Airlines DC-9 30 crashed in CCS when the mechanic that was taxing the plane out of the hangar had a hearth attack, & the plane ran away from the manteniance ramp & crashed on a ditch......

Very sad story, I feel for the family of the mechanic. You would think however, that they would mandate at least 2 people in the jet while moving it.

It depends on the extent on the damage on the wings and fuselage. The DC-9 is an old aircraft by any means and any repairs would depend on the cost and the number of years left in its lifespan.

Merely taking down the throttle will not stop the plane... any more than taking your foot off the gas in your car. Add to that a small dose of panic and you can see the end result.

Yah that wing is no longer flyable. So what is the running price for a DC-9 wing nowadays.
