Default 787 Dreamliner First Flight Info

Looks like the first flight of the Dreamliner will be late September, or possibly as late as the first week of October, but they are shooting for end of September now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The first plane was unveiled to the world in a July 8 ceremony that McNerney attended along with 15,000 others at Boeing's Everett plant. But much work remains to get systems installed and working with one another on the plane before first flight.

"We have a lot of work to do in a compressed time frame," McNerney said.

First flight is now targeted for the end of September. Previously, Boeing said it hoped first flight would come in late August or early September.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The 787's first flight is postponed a month, but delivery still is on schedule

Can't wait!!!

Thanks for the update! Good to know that they are still within the window for flight test schedule, albeit at the "back end". I am not surprised since delays are not unexpected for a new aircraft.

My wife and I are going to be booking our tickets sometime in mid-August for our trip to Seattle during that time period. Haven't been to Seattle since 2001, and I'm looking forward to visiting again - hopefully the Mariners will have righted their ship (they've lost 7 straight) and are still in contention for the division or Wild Card ...

Yeah, Ibanez has been struggling at the plate lately... Sexson, all season long. Vidro's horrendous batting average with runners in scoring position and his numerous hits into double plays... i am glad Felix turned it around a bit too.

So, when are they bringing up Adam Jones from minors again?...

hey, aren't you in SD? shouldn't u be rooting for the Padres!?! hehe. or at least, Angels!? (if u are into AL)

man i wanna play softball! hard to get people to play! hehe.

Hey Jason ... are you a Mariners fan too, or just an MLB fan? You're right on all counts with your analysis of the offensive woes ... I'm impressed!

The M's won tonight 7-1 vs. the A's, and thankfully ended their 7-game skid ... Felix pitched a gem and Beltre hit a three-run double and Jose Guillen a monster 420-foot two-run homer for the good guys. I grew up in Seattle so I will always have an allegiance to my home city.

Adrian Beltre's double helps sever 7-game skid

I'm also a Padres' fan as well, but their offense sucks!

Sorry to sidetrack to baseball everyone ... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ... go Boeing!!!

I love baseball! I like the M's too. I liked them since the Griffey Jr. days... Remember those days? With Buhner and eMart edgar martinez. Arod, errrrrr. Randy Johnson, errrrr.

i was SOOOOOOOOO mad when Griffey left. i hated him more than anything in the world at the time. i was somewhat glad of his misfortune in Cincy. i like loyal players and franchises.

SD Padres offense... oh boy, where do we start? haha... Hey at least Milton 'problem child' Bradley sparked the offense...

I was looking at Jake Peavy's away vs. home pitching stats for his career the other day. i found out that he pitches as well on the road, if not better. man, that dude's legit!!! kuz i was about to blame it on 'pitcher's park theory' HAHA.

i love my local teams, Dodgers and Angels along with Oakland A's (when i went to college there i lived in Oakland Lake Merritt)

did u play organized baseball in school or anything? i tried in HS but i didn't make the cut... hehe, i sucked! bleh... maybe my future kids? haha.
