Good to see a tri-jet put into use after NW has decided to dump it. Thanks for the pics!

Looks like no money spent on paint ???. Only ATA decal added to front and change of registration number. Otherwise exactly how it left Minneapolis. The white stripe up the fin is standard policy when a Northwest Airlines "red tail" is retired.

Pretty shabby looking. I'd love to have an ATA DC-10 to add to my collection, but not if it looks like that. You can still see the shadow of the NWA logo near the cockpit. And the white stripe on the tail looks like it's peeling off.

Really? While its not a beauty it sure is unique. It might be a pretty cool variation.

There we go! Much better than that awful 'hybrid' livery.

By the way, what is ATA planning on using it for? Just normal operations or are they planning on expanding into another market? I heard something about ATA planning to fly long-haul flights for Southwest codeshare.

Sorry, after driving by it every day it is at their maintanence hub, I think it looks pretty ugly. Did they even repaint the fuselage or leave the NWA silver paint? Why not white like the rest of their fleet?
