Been watching this unfold at home on tv...

Luckily, appears that everyone is alive and well... The plane looks like a mess!

After seeing the traffic cam footage from CNN, I thought very few people were going to walk away from this one.

It's nothing short of wonderful that everyone is ok!

Years of practicing Surrender/Runningaway/Escaping did finally pay off for those French.

Now in a serous note:
I was extremely happy to see that this accident did not end as a tragedy. My regards to the crew, Air France and to those unaccounted heroes.

That A340 must have been a tough bird. Good to hear all are well. I Wonder if it was an A380, would they have been so lucky?

Sadly, I doubt it.

The evacuation of this plane took about a minute.. In less than 2 minutes, the plane was on fire.

Even though Airbus has tested the A380 for 'super fast' evacs, I can't help but imagine that it would take longer than 2 minutes to empty a fully loaded A388.

Yeah, it must have been real tough the way it plowed up the grass and down the ravine and was a total loss and all.
One tough sob I tell you.
