Default Northwest is painting their planes fast!

Man, I haven't seen a Northwest o/c for ever! Last time I went on a trip we went to SMF, LAX, SNA, and PHX the only NWA planes were in the new 2003 colors. Does anyone know how many of their planes are in the new colors?

I was on trip this summer with my band, SEA-DET-MCO, on the way back IAD-MSP-SEA. I flew on 3 752's and 1 753. All but one was a n/c and most I saw at MET and MCO were n/c... I saw a lot of DC-9 o/c though.

Whereas at IAH, we almost never see the n/c. We get an occasional A319 in n/c, but most A319s and DC-9s are o/c.

Default DC-9 in OC

As I have observed in MKE, aboout 1/2 of all the DC-9s seem to be in the new livery. All told, if I had to put a percentage of their fleet that has the new livery, I would easily put it over 75%. I take note when I see the their old colors now.

Plenty of O/C NWs in DTW ... A lot of DC-9's in the O/Cs

I love the old and new colors of NW. The best livery in US.

In New Orleans Northwest's 2 gates usually have two n/c dc-9s rarely an o/c. One or two A319s a day, usually o/c.

Here at LFT, we always get the old colors. Well seeing as we only get 3 Saabs, its to be expected. I dont believe they are painting them in the n/c. It would look strange though.

There are still a lots of o/c aircrafts (DC-9, A319/320, Avro RJ-85) in DFW and MEM.

I see the old colors alot more at my local airport then the new ones. Interesting how some airports get mostly old, and some mostly new colors.
