Default Boeing plant tour?

I am going to be in Seattle in a few months and plan on doing the Boeing plant tour.
Anyone been on it? If so, how is it? Anything I should know? I read you can't take cameras on it.

Thanks

The tour is okay. You are correct in that you can't take any camera's, backpacks, or any other object on the tour not for security reasons but for the possibility of dropping a F.O.D. on the floor below where the workers are assembling the aeroplanes. To better explain this you don't actually go on the floor of the hall but, rather, walk to a long tunnel to an elevator that takes you up a couple of floors that over look the floor below. Then they take you on a bus where you go out to the Flight Line to see what aircraft are being prepared for flight. If I remember correctly the tour takes just over an hour. If you have the balls then you might want to stick a camera in your pocket and smuggle it in on the tour. Just don't drop it or let them see you taking pics! Enjoy the trip.

The price is only $5, but if your an airline employee just show your ID and the tour is free.
Don't forget to check out their shop across the parking lot in a small trailer type of building.

For me, the tour now is a real downer. Back in the day the place was packed with birds, now you will be lucky to see 3 or 4. Things have gone downhill at the lazy B.
