Post Observations: BDL-ATL-MCO/MCO-BDL

Hello all. Last week, I flew on Delta from BDL to MCO, via ATL, and returned from MCO to BDL on Song. The BDL-ATL leg (flt 464) was on 767-332 N122DL, the ATL-MCO leg (flt 63) was on 777-232 N864DA, and the MCO-BDL (flt 2562) was on 757-232 N6710E. It was interesting to be on a 777 for a one hour flight, and believe me, the plane was full!!!

While in ATL, I saw a Delta 737-832 still in Shuttle markings...have they converted the interiors on these planes to a mixed-class configuration? Or are they still all coach?

The really interesting plane (more of an interesting location for a particular plane) I saw was a United 737-322 in the white Shuttle scheme at BDL. Can anyone shed any light on this? I know TED is starting, but I thought Shuttle by United was still in the air? Can anyone shed any light on this one?

Cool

The Shuttle by United doesn't fly no more. The planes were put back into main line service without repainting the aircraft. As for the Delta aircraft,Delta now uses the 737-300 for the shuttle flights.

I flew a Delta Shuttle 737-800 back in December from MDW to ATL and it was all coach.

The "Shuttle by United" 737's remain in service with old colors, but are being reconfigured with economy-plus seating. They will retain the shuttle galleys (no ovens) and single aft lavatory.

DL is experimenting with the former shuttle 738's on several routes out of Atlanta, like HOU, MCI, MDW, etc. in an attempt to beat Air Tran. They're all coach configured, but in the former shuttle format, to the seat pitch is better than their standard coach (and Air Tran's).
