I don´t think so.

Since AirCal was merged into American in 1987, all of those ex-AirCal Super 80s must have been taken over by AA in 1987 too.

I took a look at jp Airline-Fleets international edition 2003/04 and all of those Super 80s that have been delievered to AA have a registration NxxxAA and none of them had a previous registration NxxxAC.
BTW: I also looked in the 1996/97 edition and there were also no ex-AirCals in AA´s fleet at this time already.

American inheirited 737-200s, 737-300s and BAe 146s from the Air Cal merger in 1987. There were no MD-80s in the Air Cal fleet at the time. By 1989, all former Air Cal aircraft were gone from the fleet- AA loves standardization.

MD-80s left AirCal not later than '86 and were operated by PSA (N476AC), Frontier (N475/477/478AC), NYAir (N479/480/481AC),

then opb by USAir(ex 476AC/950PS, then 828US) and Continental (475AC, then 37882 + 477AC + 478AC + 479AC/813NY, then 16813 + 480AC/814NY, then 14814 + 481AC/815NY, then 16815)

Don't know if they are active today, but they never were with AA.

Hope that helps
