With Chris from Vikings Customs currently having "Seahawk 1", an Alaska Airlines 727 for the NFL's Seattle Seahawks available for auction, what other planes have professional sports franchises used for traveling? I personally know that the LA Dodgers in the early 80's have used a Boeing 720B (N1R) for and that currently Mark Cuban, owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks have used a Boeing 757 for his team. If you have any pics of any planes used for transportation by professional sports franchises or sports figures. I'm just curious to see what has been used. Thanks for any info and pics. Robert

Atlanta Thrashers/Hawks 732 owned by Pace inc. I took this photo at PHX in the winter of 2000 when the Thrashers were playing the Coyotes. Thrashers ended up losing that game 5-1

I used to see a lot of Basketball teams at SMF.
The Trailblazers have a 757, they used to have a BAC-111. The Cavaliers flew a 737-200 in last season. The Kings used to have a BAC-111. The Suns used to fly in an America West 737-100. The Sonics used to fly a 727-200. The Canucks and Grizzlies used to fly a 727-200 also. The Bucks flew in on a Midwest DC-9. I know the Lakers, Kings, T-Wolves, Grizzlies, and Spurs are using Northwest.
