Strange new route...... wonder what the reasoning behind it is?
Any bets on how long it will last? -------------------------------- American Eagle (Jun25, 2003) Will inaugurate nonstop service from Los Angeles to Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) on 05Aug03. AE will operate daily service except Saturdays using a Canadair RJ700. |

Northwest Arkansas is one of the most profitable domestic stations in the American Eagle system, strange as it sounds. It's the headquarters of Wal-Mart, and gets mostly business travelers. Eagle also flies nonstop to New York-LGA from XNA, besides DFW, and AA mainline service is available to ORD. Delta Connection also flies there, and I think Continental Express, too. It does seem obscure, doesn't it?
