I was just wondering, what are the lines sticking out above each door of an aircraft supposed to be? Do they do anything?
Here is a pic that clearly shows those lines above the doors. We can see them Dragon Wings models too (the grey lines). http://www.airliners.net/open.file/367907/L/

maybe so rain water running down the side of the fuselage gets deflected away from the door? ive seen those same things on the light rail trains in San Jose.
