This was originally destined for an African carrier I believe, then Bolivia. Not sure what the status is presently but considering Northeast was approached to buy the L1011 at one time, it would be incredible if this thing ever started flying reg sched service to North America.

According to jp airline-fleets international 2003/04 this plane belongs to Northeast Airlines, (Pty) Ltd a subsidiary of NEA Holdings (Delaware) Inc. and it is leased from TristarCapital.
So this plane is registered in Swaziland, but it says their main hub is Sharjah (UAE). Northeast was founded in 2002 and they took over this plane with the previous registration N3109, which was build in 1974, in December 2002. Right now, it is stored at Tucson, Az. Northeast also operates another TriStar (3D-NEC; ex N310SS), but this is in all white-color. Their Homepage is www.neairlines.com |
