Default Air Canada's new A340s...

Does anyone know when AC is taking delivery of its A340-500s and 600s? The 500s are due soon, aren't they?

Airbus seems to keep on delaying the A340-500. Right now, Air Canada is scheduled to receive their 1st A340-500 in April. They will be the launch customer. A340-600s will arrive in 2004.

Does anyone know on what route Air Canada will be using the -500? Maybe YYZ-NRT?

They will be definately be used on the Toronto-Hong Kong route and there has been rumours about a possible route to Johannesburg but doesn't seem likely.

I haven't heard of any Vancouver-Hong Kong route.
