Pier A - used by United is closed and is being expanded and will be used by Southwest.

Pier B is used by Southwest only

Pier C - American, Delta, Northwest and Southwest

Pier D was 90% USAirways, now being used AirTran, American, Continental, Midwest and United (and USAirways)

It could be one of all of this:
A.- Starbucks is located in that section of BWI
B.- Fewer windows making it a warmer area.
C.- Closest to crew parking space.
D.- The former area was too far, hate to go taxiing around that airport every time.

Glad to be of help.!!
