After seeing the new Northeast re-startup, I am interested in getting a list going of US regional airlines.
Here are a few examples... Midwest Express - Milwaukee Based Great Plains - OKC Based Spirit - Florida Based Air Tran - Atlanta Based jetBlue - New York JFK Based Frontier - Denver Based Please help me add on to this list! |

actually i think a few are those are considered "NATIONAL" carriers, based on the amount of passengers they fly in a year...

alaska airlines is a major airline, jetblue and airtran are both close to "major airline" status as well

How about American Trans Air? They have L1011's, but I don't know if you think of them as a major.

i believe ATA is a "National" Airline.....REMEMBER THIS HAS TO DO WITH AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS FLY ON THAT AIRLINE A YEAR....
even airlines such as COMAIR are considered "National" Airlines |

My intention was to list all airlines, regardless of size, that isn't considered a "Major" airline.
So, Airtran, Alaska, Jetblue, etc. meet the criteria. |

How about all the minors that have disappeared?
Allegheny- Mohawk- Piedmont- Southern- North Central- Ozark- Hughes Airwest- PSA- Air Cal- Trans Texas- Air New England- Bonanza- Texas International I can't remember any others, but it does make you realize how many airlines there used to be before deregulation & the advent of airline-alliliated commuters like American Eagle, United Express or Delta Connection. |

Cascade, Aspen Airways, Aspen Mountain Air, Trans Colorado, Pioneer, Golden West, West Air, Paradise Island Air, Catalina Air Lines, Avalon Air Transport, Trans Catalina, Inter- American became American Eagle in the Caribbean.
