In a bit of sad news, America West shut down its Columbus hub yesterday. It is cutting the present number of 49 daily departures to 4. Apparently Delta is going to pick up some of the flights that America West abandoned, but it is yet to be seen by how much. I also wouldn't be suprised if Southwest were to add some flights sometime too.

A very sad time for people in Ohio who love America West.

I accidentally typed "Hud" instead of "Hub" when writing this post. I edited the title of the thread, but it didn't change the title on the forums for some reason. I figured it wasn't that tough to figure out what I was trying to say. On a side note, Delta just announced service to 6 new cities from Columbus to JFK, Boston, Dallas Ft. Worth, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, and Ft. Myers. That will help fill some of the void at CMH.
