Default A man attempted to hijack .....

A man attempting to hijack a Turkish Airlines plane took two members of the crew hostage shortly after the aircraft landed at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on Friday.

He was arrested by police who boarded the plane and there were no injuries.

All the passengers had left the aircraft, which had arrived on a domestic flight from Ankara, when the man went on board claiming he had a bomb.

The hi-jacker was reported to be a Turkish man who shouted anti-American slogans as he was led away.

An airport official told a local TV news channel that the hi-jacker had said he wanted to take the plane to Moscow, according to a BBC report.
