Question Another Qantas V-Jet 707?

Does anyone know if another 707 "V-Jet" exists besides Travolta's? I was driving by the airport yesterday (SAT) and saw a tail sticking out of a hangar, definitely a V-Jet livery. But I also don't see any reason Travolta's would be at SAT. I meant to go into town and get some pics today but winter has finally struck South Texas, and I didn't even make it out of the house.

I'm going tomorrow to see if it's still here and take some photo's if so, but just curious if anyone knows of another in existance.

Well, if it was a V-Jet, it was Travolta's, as his plane is the only one that has that livery. I've heard of it being at SAT before, however I don't know why. Possibly for maintainence or temporary storage when he's not using it?

Question

I may be wrong about this, but I thought there was a rather large branch of the church of Scientology in San Antonio, of course, Mr Travolta is a member .....hope this helps

It's also possible he's having the plane go through periodic maintenance at Dee Howard in SAT. Back when I was living in San Antonio it was not unusual to see airlines and aircraft that ordinarily did not serve SAT, namely an ANK 737-500 and an Asiana 767-300.

It looks like it may be some sort of maintenance, the facility the plane is parked at is called "Seven Q Seven", and has two other 707's on the tarmac.

Chuck, this hangar is on the east side, just off Wetmore Rd about 1/2 mi North of 410. That's also the clearest shot I had at a photo, so I'll have to wait and see how they turned out.

Gotta love Dee Howard, they get some nice variety coming through.

He is currently here in Orlando as it was on the news that he and his family were spotted at an outing at Walt Disney World yesterday...He probably ferried over in his GIV from SAT!
