Currently LAX is a not a DC-9 route but theirs talk of using the 717 on the route. The 717s will replace all the DC-9s on their routes first.

You know....Midwest Express is my favorite airline...and I am not sure I like the new livery. The colors have a great number of possibilities, but what they came up with leaves something to be desired.

This might make a good "What If" post....

I remember when MidEx announced the new logo and name change. They want to get away from the Express in their name which they feel implies that they're a regional or feeder airline to some of the general public....

Cool I like this scheme very nice!

It stays with the attributes of the last Midwest or what is currently flying on most of the fleet. Font is the same and overall look is the same as current Midwest Express planes. What is nice on this look at the starboard nacelle you will notice three stripes representative of First Officer. On port side four stripes adorn the nacelle. I like what the designers came up with here! Shows at least the Airline is a class Airline not a puddle jumper.

Love the 717... Looks like a good one for Bader to do for me. A great looking livery.

Cool

I rather like this new look. I don't understand the tail logo though... especially that tiny M in it... is it wings? Is it a hair comb?!?! It's just confusing. The rest of the plane is quite attractive though. I DO like the title font as well... even though it's the same as their current titles, taking the "Express" off really cleans it up and makes them more professional looking. all in all (logo aside) a decent rebrand.

Cool to see an eyebrow-less 717 too!

I like this look much better than when they first released the drawings of this new color scheme ...

I must say though that the 717 looks really strange without the eyebrow windows.

Wink My daddy said "Boy, yer gonna drive me to drinkin'..."

Naaaah... The eyebrowless 717 is COOL! Kinda' like a hot-rod DC-9-30! BIG engines, all smoothed out and customised! I wonder if they frenched the door handles?

Those photos make my hope that AirTran's request for a stretched 717 are fulfilled.

We could possibly have a NG DC-9 and MD-80!
