Thumbs up Bye bye~! See you later~! Have a safe trip~! Sayonara~! An-nyung-hee-ka-ship-shi-o~!

When you visit either Korea or Japan, when the aircrafts are
pushed back, ground crew wishes them for a safe trip back home
or wherever the destination maybe...
Very pleasant scene~!

Here is KLM MD-11 head back for AMS...

On occasion, in the US, you might see the lead marshaler snap off a quick salute to the captain after he's cleared the aircraft to taxi on its own.

The mechanic will salute the flight deck everytime on pushout for United at ORD. I'm sure this happens at all airports with United flights.

Hey Scott,

Thats systemwide isn't it?

If you ever go to Indonesia or just pass through Jakarta, you'd be amazed as the ground crew line-up at attention and salute every plane after it's push back. Really quite smart looking and a point of pride for them. Something I wouldn't mind seeing more of elsewhere as ground crew though often overlooked really are an important part of any successful operation.
