Default Are the new 717s being built without the "upper" cockpit windows?

I heard that the new 717s were being built without the extra set of windows. Is this true? Are there any pictures of planes built like this yet, or did Boeing decide not to go ahead with this?

If they do, is Boeing going to make their 737s without these windows now too?

Pete

Its still in the works over at Boeing, I think all that they are waiting for is certification from the FAA for the change.

I never did like the eybrow windows on the 737, too darn hot. They make a great place to store charts, at least untill you swap airplanes and you leave them behind. DOH!!!

Just curious, b737gearboy, what airline do you work for? And what variant(s) of the 737 do you fly?
