Runways at Gatwick
Why is runway 26L/08R the only active runway at Gatwick? Why don't they use 26R/08L? I've always wondered about this. I know they use 26R/08L for a taxi way. Just curious.

I think it stems from not enough minimum spacing requirements between runways per British CAA regulations.
