Default Spotting at KLAX

I will be flying home for vacation next week. Do they still allow people to park there cars and watch planes next to 24R/L?

Not sure but this weekend they closed the streets around 24. I think you still can see planes close to 25R.

Well do you know where else I could go without getting into trouble? One time I got permission from security to go and park at the employee parking lot and take pictures and video from there, it was pretty cool...we had all the planes flying right over us that where landing on 24L, but that was before 9-11

I was in LA last December and had no problems parking in the "Big Cargo" lot at the SE corner of LAX or across the street at the Proud Bird Restaurant (and they have toilets in back). I spent several hours in Big Cargo, and airport security drove by several times and never said a thing. Of course, when you get hungry and want to stomach some grease, head over to the In n Out Burger where you can just about reach up and touch the planes. Only problem there is the sun is wrong for photography.

I gave miss information on my first post to this thread. I was actually talking about the road next to 25R, not 24L/R.

The best and safest place right now is the imperial therminal parking lot.It close and planes pass right in from once in a while. But its good for pics, just use the trash can there.
