I would have to agree with the rest AerLingus all the way, followed by BA, LH , Swiss, and IB.

I just got back from Berlin today and sampled Lufthansa's coach product for the first time. It was a pleasant surprise to say the least. The Recaro seats are extremely comfortable. On their A340s the seat pan slides forward when you recline, giving you more leg support and prevent your *** from falling asleep. The food was more than acceptable and the overall experience was excellent.
On the way over to Europe I flew KLM in coach and they weren't bad either. Good service, decent seat, and overall no complaints. Other carriers: CO: great Business First product, horrible coach seats (feels like you're sitting on a park bench) VS: Awesome in both coach and Upper Class. AF: Above average service in L'Espace 127, but average seat. I hear they're rolling out a new business seat and it made its debut on their new A330-200s. OK (CSA Czech): not bad for a former Eastern Bloc carrier. The A310 is a decent plane, and the coach product was just fine. If I have to fly coach across the pond, I'll do it on VS or LH. |

What´s so special about Aer Lingus that three members in a row choose them? My vote goes to Lufthansa and Lauda (if they have the same service on transatlantic as they have on their Pacific route). |

I hope one of the others who picked it can explain for you.Not to mention like you said one of the best liveries. The best in my mind.Maybe one day ull get to try Aer Lingus for urself.I really dont think that answered your question at all but i tried the best i could.

KLM and Lufthansa? Please! You've got to be kidding.
It's either Aer Fungus, even though the bastards fly Scarebus, or Virgin Shaglantic. As to why I chose Aer Fungus, it all goes to service. The very friendly staff provides outstanding professional service with that Irish hospitality that's second to none. It's a wonderful, relaxing, and extremely comfortable experience. The food is very good as far as airline food goes and the beverage service kicks arse. Where else can you chase Jameson's Irish whiskey with either a Harp Lager or Guinness Stout? When you arrive at your destination your wait to recover your luggage is minimized by the bang out effort the Aer Fungus rampers do by working very quickly and effeciently. The same can be said about Virgin Shaglantic. One of the best airlines for hiring absotute babes for flight attendants. Whoever is doing the hiring, he or she is doing a wonderful job. Hottie flight attendants that provide efficient professional service with a smile. Either way you won't regret your decision to fly EI or VS. |

I'll agree with you VS observation, since I said they were one of my two top choices, but I still think LH is awesome. The seats are great, food is good, and the flight attendants are quite nice. There is something to be said for German efficiency.
I haven't flown on Aer Lingus yet, so I can't compare them. |

I would go for Virgin. LH have acceptable service but the food can range from good to edible. KLM and the rest I have not flown.

I have only flown on Air France, from Paris to Munich, and it sucked. I still think the food was freeze dried crap!
The seats felt like plastic! Oh, and by the way, I was sitting in FIRST CLASS for crying out loud! Has anyone else had an experiance like that on an airline?

I've flown on Aer Lingus, Virgin and Air France. I liked Virgin the best, Aer Lingus had the best enroute party
but still came in #2, and Air France sucked.Steve |
