Nice pic! This is the plane that Starjets should have done first!

yeah Tom, they have 10 in service. 3 L-1011-1s, and 7 L-1011-500s. The 3 standard length Tristars will be gone by year's end. 2 are currently undergoing a "C" check in Abu Dhabi UAE. The L-1011s will sadly be gradually replaced by A310s an A330s.

Thanks, Dave. When we came down for the February convention I saw an AirTransat L-10 sitting at the date. We drove right past it on the main access road to MCO. I wished we had pulled over for 2 minutes to photograph that bird - what a great picture that would have made!

A310's and A330's?! That's horrible to hear. Sad to see that the tristar's days are up as a frontline service airliner. I guess that will give ATA the distiction of being the first American A330 operator, not sure if Northwest has planned when they're gonna take theirs yet. Still, I'd much rather see the L1011 around.

Alright, I'm dumb. I was thinking of American Trans Air for some reason. At least ATA has their act together by keeping their L1011 fleet strong.
