Question What should I fly to YVR from Chicago?

Hello guys,

I need some suggestions...
I'm trying to find a flight to YVR from ORD.
What airlines can I fly? What are my options in price wise?
I was searching at orbits last night, but not very good.

Help me guys!
Thanks!

Sorry, can't help you on this one. But it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who picks their airline based on more than just price. My wife thought I was nuts when I picked Midway to fly to MCO from EWR last February (although Midway did have the best price. ).

Well, let's see. Yous can catch a Triple Seven or 767 to SEA on UA, connecting to a Dash 8 up to YVR. Yous can catch an MD-80 to SEA and make a connection. Yous can catch an Araska 737-700 to SEA and connect to a Horizon Dash 8. Or yous can go nonstop on Air Canada on Scarebus. Try going to Yahoo travel and punch in the letters and numbers to see what you can come up with. Good luck, Haus...

If price is a big issue, I would recommend flying to Seatte, then bussing up to Vancouver. International airfare is going to be much more than domestic, and by bus Vancouver is about a three and a half hour ride from seattle. If you want, United also has nonstop service to Chicago, I flew that exact route when I went up to vancouver a few weeks ago. Perhaps American has a non-stop flight too, but I'm not sure. Hope this info helps.

UA flies nonstop ORD to YVR, but typically uses a narrow-body Airbus; A-320 or A-319. The 737 used to fly this route, but suffered payload difficulties when westbound with strong headwinds and the need for an alternate airport further than SEA. I've made a planned fuel stop at GEG (Spokane, WA) at least twice in the past to accomodate an aircraft booked full with the above conditions.

Ummm, sorry I can't help Benjamin! I'm really biased! Seriously, AC is a fine airline as well as our Star Alliance partner.

Hey Benjamin, I was looking at Airliners.net today, and found this article. Not sure when you're traveling, but maybe this will help.

"

CHICAGO, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines will begin daily
nonstop service between Chicago and Vancouver, Canada on June 15 using
129-seat McDonnell-Douglas airplanes. The service will operate through
Sept. 30.
"This new flight will complement our service to western Canada," said
Thomas Aichele, American's managing director for passenger sales in Chicago.
"Many of our customers have asked for flights to Vancouver -- and Anchorage,
Alaska -- both of which will be starting on June 15.
"The new service will provide travelers with easy connections to cruise
ships that sail down the western side of North America," Aichele added.
Here's the new schedule:

From Chicago to Vancouver
Flight: 1461 Departs: 8:36 a.m. Arrives: 11:28 a.m.

From Vancouver to Chicago
Flight: 1010 Departs: 12:20 p.m. Arrives: 6:28 p.m.

American also offers service to Vancouver from its newest mid-continent
hub in St. Louis as well as its hub in Dallas/Ft. Worth. From Chicago,
American also offers daily nonstop flights to Calgary, Ottawa, Toronto and
Montreal. American is the only carrier to offer More Room Throughout Coach
for More Coach passengers.

'More Room For More Coach Passengers ... Only on American'"

An MD-80 might not be the best ride around, but I guess it leaves you one more option.
